Biscotto Italian Vitrified Porcelain

What was done

We transformed this garden with a complete redesign built around Biscotto Italian vitrified porcelain paving. The new patio is retained by a curved brick wall and edged with oak sleepers running along the face of the shed. Photos show a mini-digger and full groundwork to form the levels, plus the brick wall being built on a curve. Integrated lighting was installed with spotlights along the wall and step, a colour-changing floodlight aimed at the trees, and a water feature with lights, all controlled on a wireless remote so colours and zones can be adjusted from your seat. Electrical work was carried out by Daniel Marshall.

The finished look

The finished space is smart and contemporary: large biscotto porcelain slabs in soft, sandy tones provide a sleek, low-maintenance surface that contrasts handsomely with the red brick walls. The curved retaining wall and oak sleepers add warmth and structure, and with the lighting and water feature the garden becomes a real evening space. It is an inviting, all-day landscaped garden ready for dining and relaxing.
