Granite Paving

What was done

This impressive garden was completed in Bunwell using light granite paving finished with a charcoal border. As the client describes, a stainless steel water rill runs through the centre of the design, flowing into a sump tank, with LED lights set beneath the overhanging paving edges. The large paved area was laid out in a strong geometric pattern with cut-out planting beds woven throughout, and the team set crisp dark edging around the rill and borders. The customer chose and carried out all of the planting himself, filling the beds with white flowers and ornamental grasses.

The finished look

The finished garden is calm and beautifully symmetrical, with the pale granite, dark charcoal edging and central water feature drawing the eye down to a seated Buddha. The structured planting softens the hard landscaping, while the LED-lit rill makes the space glow after dark. Framed by new fencing and young trees, it is a refined, contemporary patio design built to be enjoyed year-round.
